Kay attended Wayne State University and the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law. She manages the overall operations and guides the Executive Board and Planning Committee of the MMC, as well as the full operation of the BBA. She also spends time developing new business by introducing a variety of organizations to AMR.
With 16+ years of experience in association management, Kay has a wealth of knowledge of nonprofit organizations and executive leadership. She is a former Board member of the Michigan Society of Association Executives, and has served on the Women Lawyers Association Foundation Board for over 10 years. Kay has recently been elected to the Board of Directors of the Detroit Executive Service Corps.
Kay is well known as the longest serving bar association Executive Director in Michigan, and shares her historical knowledge with any bar association leader who asks. She has collected a wealth of friends throughout her professional career, and never loses sight of them. Her professional colleagues refer to her as The Network Queen; they know she is the one to call when they are looking for a resource or connection.
A musician by choice, a youngest sister to 5 siblings by happy coincidence, and wife of a hockey-loving computer professional by wonderful serendipity, Kay has a rich and full life in addition to her work at AMR.
